摘　　要：Gansu, situated at the juncture of theQingzang Plateau, Inner MongoliaPlateau and loess plateau, with aterritory of 454,000 square kilometres, isbounded by Inner Mongolia, Shaanxi, Ningxia,Xinjiang, Qinghai and Sichuan. It even sharesa short border with Mongolia. There are 41nationalities, about 24.3795 million people,inhabiting the five municipalities under thejurisdiction of Gansu.
