摘  要:The δ<sup>18</sup>O value is mainly controlled by δ<sup>18</sup>O value of paleo-ocean water and the water skin temperature. The piston core HY4-901 is located at 14°49′N, 113°28′E, on the northern continental slope of the South China Sea, with the water depth of 1 120 m. 1 Sedimentary characteristics The core is characterized by continuous and even-textured sediments, mainly silty clay, with a small amount of clayey silt, bearing abundant planktonic foraminifers, calcareous nannofossils, diatoms and radiolaris.
