摘　　要：本文阐述了党的十四大精神对加速我国地矿事业发展的重大意义,认为地矿部门90年代最根本的任务就是要解放思想,抓住时机,拓宽领域,加快改革开放步伐,努力把地矿工作推上一个新的台阶。并对地矿工作上新台阶的基本内涵、主要目标和改革措施提出了意见。The essay expounds the significance of the gist of the 14th Party Congress to acceleration of the country's geological work and mineral resources development. The author holds that the basic tasks of the Ministry of Geology and Mineral Resources in the '90s are to emanici-Pate our minds and seize the opportunity to broaden the scope of work and quicken the pace of reform and opening to the outside world, so as to push forward our work to a new high. Views of the author on the major goals to be attained in the coming years, as well as the basic work to be done and policies and measures to be adopted are included.
