摘  要:An analysis of the cathode process during the formation and growth of a titanium deposit on a wire screen basket in connection with current efficiency is given. Equations describing the distribution of current densities, titanium ion concentration along the deposit layer and an equation of the theoretical current efficiency have been derived. On the basis of these equations and experimental results of titanium electrolysis, the mechanism for loss of current is attributed to discharging of sodium and low valent sodium ions on the outside layer of the cathode.An analysis of the cathode process during the formation and growth of a titanium deposit on a wire screen basket in connection with current efficiency is given.
