摘  要:阳光可以消毒,或更确切地说,热可加强光降解已不再是理论上的假设,而是经过五年研究后得出的一个概念。这一概念迄今已发展成最新的治理技术之一。用光化学破坏危险废弃化合物并不新鲜,人们利用人工紫外线光源和其它技术结合起来分解危险废物已有数年历史。阳光消毒有下面两个特点,使它优于先前的方法。第一,利用阳光这一“取用自由”和无污染的能源。第二。Solar destruction of hazardous organic chemical wastes is a unique site remediation technology which has the ability to achieve 99.99999% DRE when used on the most toxic substances contaminating our environment. The Unified Heliostat Array has made this technology available in a form that promises to be far more cost-effective than conventional incineration. Not only is this technology suited to both permanent and transportable system designs, but it has the lowest negative impact on the environment of any other available technology. The article is a primer on the solar resource and the basic photolytic degradation process. A facility designed to detoxify soil contaminated with PCBs and PCDDs is also described.
