Objective To explore the clinical therapeutic effect and lipid-lowering intervention effect of statins used in patients with coronary heart disease. Methods Sixty-nine patients hospitalized in Department of Internal Medicine, the Branch of Workers' Hospital of Tangshan were randomly divided into treatment group(n=35) and control group(n=34).The patients in treatment group took pravastatin tablets orally, while the patients in control group took fish oil orally. The symptoms of coronary heart disease and ECG improvement in the patients were observed. The lipid levels of the patients were detected before and after the treatment. And the results were compared and analyzed between the two groups. Results After the treatment, compared with control group, the lipid levels of patients in treatment group were significantly decreased. The total effective rate of improving coronary artery disease symptoms of treatment group was 94.3%,which was significantly superior to control group(68.6%).The total effective rate of ECG improvement of treatment group was significantly better than control group(41.2%).There were statistically significant differences between the two groups(P0.05). Conclusion Statins has a significant cholesterol-lowering effect;and moreover, it can significantly improve the electrocardiogram, symptoms and prognosis of patient with coronary heart disease.Statins should be used as the first-line agent in treatment of coronary heart disease.
