摘　　要：目前我国高校图书馆外文图书的索书号各不相同,这主要是由于《中国图书馆分类法(》以下简称《中图法》)(第5版)中缺少"语种复分表"。国外著名的分类法中都设有语种复分表,如《杜威十进分类法》、《国际十进分类法》等。随着国内各图书馆外文图书数量日益增长,《中图法》(第5版)的通用复分表中有必要增设"语种复分表",其中的语种代码可与H大类下各语种的分类号相对应,同时也可参照其他通用复分表编制注释说明。At present, call numbers of foreign books are different in university libraries, it is mainly because of lack of Language Table in Chinese Library Classification （CLC） （5th edition）. Some famous foreign classifications have Languages Table, such as Dewey Decima/C/assification and Universa/Decima/ C/assification. As foreign language books in domestic libraries more and more, it is necessary to add Language Table in auxiliary tables of CLC （5th edition）, and language codes of Language Table could be in accord with classification numbers of H category, at the same time, it could compile explanatory notes referring to other auxiliary tables.
