摘　　要：通过对美国研究图书馆协会(ARL)统计工作机制的分析,总结出ARL统计工作在统计标准、统计说明、统计标准及项目更新和统计数据分析方面的特点。根据以上特点,结合国内高校图书馆统计工作的实际情况,从规范统计标准体系、健全统计工作机制两个方面阐述了ARL统计工作对发展我国高校图书馆统计工作的启示。Based on the analysis of ARL statistic services＇ mechanism, this paper discussed features of ARL statistic services from the aspects of statistical standard, guide, standard and items update as well as data analysis. Combing with the present statistical work of Chinese academic libraries, this paper elaborated the Enlightenment of ARL statistic services＇ mechanism on development of the China national academic libraries＇ statistic services in the light of standardizing the system as well as perfecting the mechanism.
