摘　　要：Known as repetition or revision with a signal difference, signifying epitomizes for Twain the most impressive rhetorical stance in the variety of satire, particularly its indirect and double-voiced quality. In Adventures of Huckleberry Finn （1995）, signifying speeches are made in subtle, covert ways by who perform ＂trickster＂ roles to voice the unspeakable. In order to allude to the the black and white characters reader the signifying utterance carried out respectively by the black and white characters in this novel, the present paper suggests a translation approach which may be of practical use to this translation task-reformulation of signifying reporting-verb for signaling the ＂signifying＂ speech to come
