摘　　要：运用文献资料和逻辑分析等方法,探讨民族传统体育教育传承的必要性。民族传统体育的体育教育传承,有利于民族传统体育的挖掘、整理和保护,有利于民族传统体育文化的推广普及与传承,丰富大学体育教学资源,符合学校体育教学工作的要求,推动学校体育教学改革。The paper tries to discuss the necessity of inheriting ethnic traditional sports education by documentation method and logical analysis method. First, inheriting ethnic traditional sports will be a great benefit to digging, collecting and protecting ethnic traditional sports. Second, inheriting ethnic traditional sports will be a great benefit to spreading and popularizing ethnic traditional sports. Third, it can also enrich teaching materials on university PE education. At last, inheriting ethnic traditional sports meets the need of school PE teaching and can advance the PE teaching reform
