摘　　要：从文学的发展演进来说,一种新的文体的形成,不仅仅产生于文学内部,受内部各种因素的影响,它更是一个时代的产物,与这个时代的政治、经济和文化的重大变革密切相关。英国散文在17世纪的迅速兴起和飞速发展反映了时代的要求,是各种合力综合作用的结果,是文学对外在世界的能动性反应的真实表现。The development and evolution of Literature,especially for the formation of a new style,are made not only by the effect of inner elements but also by the influence of the times,and closely related to the major changes happened in political,economical and cultural areas.The rapid rise and development of English prose of 17th century are the requirement of the times and the effect of comprehensive functions.It is a real representation of literature＇s active responding to the external world.
