摘　　要：萨缪尔·贝克特在《等待戈多》中用荒诞的手法成功刻画了当代社会幻灭的现状和当代人的迷惘、苦闷和空虚的精神世界。在虚无中刻画真实,荒诞中体现存在;在虚无中等待希望和救赎,在痛苦中追寻快乐与满足。一切在皆在希望中开始,又都在痛苦与失望中幻灭。从等待与追寻的平行视角来探寻《等待戈多》的主题更加客观全面。In Waiting for Godot,Samuel Beckett successfully depicts the lost state of human spirit and human society with the seemingly absurd techniques,presenting reality in nothingness and demonstrating existence in absurdity.Men are in a state of waiting in emptiness for hope and salvation and of searching in pain for happiness and satisfaction.Everything begins with hope and ends in pain and disillusionment.It is more objective and comprehensive to study the themes of Waiting for Godot from the perspective of waiting and searching for the meaning of life.
