摘　　要：以个人体会从几个方面介绍钱学森先生的技术科学思想:什么是技术科学;技术科学的重要性;技术科学如何为应用服务;技术科学工作者应具有的基础知识;钱学森先生技术科学思想在建立力学研究所中的实践;最后谈谈关于力学要继续走技术科学道路的一些想法.This article is a brief review of Professor Hsue-Shen Tsien＇s thoughts on Engineering Sciences from the author＇s perspective. Topics covered are what are engineering sciences, the importance and role of engineering sciences, the strong emphasis on application, basic trainings of engineering scientists and Tsien＇s application of these ideas in running the Institute of Mechanics. It is the author＇s view that the mainstream for the development of mechanics in China should follow the route charted by Tsien.
