Under the condition of high temperature(30℃,35℃,39℃ and 41℃) and the atmospheric relative humidity of 40%,the physiological and biochemical characters indexes(relative electric conductivity, free praline content and soluble sugar content) were studied using the leaves of Ailanthus altissima,Fraxinus chinensis,Cornus wilsonian,Pistacia chinensis and Broussonetia papyrifera as materials. The results showed that the plant leaf tissues were obviously damaged under the condition of heat stress. With the temperature rising, the relative electric conductivity of leaf tissue increased, the free praline content and soluble sugar content gradually accumulated. The relative electric conductivity of Ailanthus altissima,Fraxinus chinensis,Cornus wilsonian,Pistacia chinensis and Broussonetia papyrifera reached a maximum when the temperature was 35℃,41℃,39℃,35℃ and 35℃,respectively.The free praline content of the five species accumulated to a maximum when the temperature was 41℃,41℃,39℃,39℃ and 39℃,respectively.The soluble sugar content of the five species accumulated to a maximum when the temperature appeared 39℃,41℃,41℃,39℃ and 41℃,respectively.The results indicated that Fraxinus chinensis and Broussonetia papyrifera were able to bear more high temperature than other species.
