摘　　要：《李秀成自述》是一个存在虚构的叙事作品,其中的"李秀成"是接近却并不等同于真实历史人物李秀成的人物形象。这个"李秀成"的一生可分为"安分守贫"的"穷民"、"愚懞""迷"从的教徒、"骑在虎背,不得不由"的"佐乱"之将、认死求活的"失国"之囚四个阶段。他不是一个有崇高理想的革命者,也不是罪恶滔天的匪徒,既不高尚,也不卑鄙,而是一个迷信、盲从、无知、本分、认真、善良、才华出众而又怕死的普通人。他参与了历史,但那是历史选择了他,他只是被动地遵从"天命"而已,是一个被卷入历史洪流中的卑微个人。The ＂Self narration of Li Xiucheng＂ is a fictional narrative works, the ＂I~ Xiucheng＂ in it is only a character that closes but not equals to the historical Li Xiucheng. This ＂I~ Xiucheng＂ is a poor people, a fool religious fan, an involuntary rebel general, and a lost national prisoner with wishes to death and to be alive. He is neither a revolutionary with noble ideal, no a villainous gangster, but a fetishistic, slavish, innocent, warm-hearted, virtuous, able, coward ordinary people. The history chose him, so he takes part in the history, he just passively comply with ＂destiny＂ . He is only a humble person involved in the stream of the history.
