摘　　要：档案工作作为国家的一项重要的基础性资源建设,随着改革开放的深入,法制社会的建立,档案工作转变观念,建立民生档案,想方设法满足人民群众对档案信息的需求,已经成为档案利用工作的基本取向之一,也使档案在更大范围中发挥其重要的社会功能。就档案在当今社会中的功能进行分析,以期广大人民群众不断提高自身的档案意识。Archive work is an important basic national resources construction.With the deepening of reforms and opening up to the outside world and the founding of a legal society,the conception of archive work is changing.To establish the archives of the people＇s livelihood so as to satisfy the demand of the masses for archive information by all means has become one of basic orientations for the utilization of archives,which makes archives give play to their important social functions in a larger scope.This paper analyzes the present social functions of archives so as to constantly improve the archive consciousness of the masses.
