摘　　要：长期以来,评论界将《雨中的猫》解读为关于婚姻伦理或是女性遭受压抑、被边缘化的故事。结合海明威的人生经历和当时的社会文化语境,分析小说中美国妻子与猫的动态关系,认为这则故事体现了女性对其身份的探寻,也隐约地传递了海明威对女性运动的同情与肯定。Over the years, ＂A Cat in the Rain＂ was interpreted by critics as a story about ethics of marriage, or about females＇ suffering oppressive and marginalized social status. Connecting with Hemingway＇s experiences and social and cultural context in that period, the dynamic relationship between the American wife and the cat is analyzed, deeming that the story reflects women＇s searching for their own identities, and vaguely transfers Hemingway＇s sympathy and affirmation to women.
