摘 要:利用热等离子体对铸造用石英砂进行高温焙烧,并对焙烧样品的铸造特性如耗酸值、发气量、角形系数、耐火度、型砂强度等进行了检测。与天然气焙烧的石英砂相比,等离子体高温焙烧大大提高了石英砂作为铸造型砂的性能,耗酸值降低,发气量减少,角形系数降低,抗弯强度提高等,特别是等离子体焙烧使石英砂的耐火度高于1 790℃,超出了标准检测极限。Quartz sand was calcinated by thermal plasma and the foundry characters of calcinated sample, such as acid consumption, gas evolution, angularity coefficient, refractoriness and bending strength, were analyzed. A comparison was carried out with the quartz sand calcinated by natural gas. It was found that the property of the sand treated by plasma was much better than that of the sand calcinated by natural gas in lower acid consumption, lower gas evolution, reduced angularity coefficient and stronger bending strength. Especially, the refractoriness of the sand by thermal plasma exceeds 1 790℃, which is beyond the testing limit.
