摘　　要：欧元自启动以来,其运行状况不尽如人意,主要是因为全球性经济通货紧缩、欧洲中央银行对欧元汇率的 善意忽视"及科索沃事件对欧元疲软产生了直接影响。尽管目前欧元面临着来自欧元区各国经济政策不协调、失业、欧盟在经济一体化与政治一体化发展不均衡等方面的挑战,但不可否认,欧元将进一步推动欧洲一体化的进程,并成为美元最主要的竞争对手。The operation of Euro has not lived up to people's expectations.The main factors that account for this are:the global economic deflation,”negligence' of the European Central Bank over the exchange rate of Euro,and direct influence of the Kosowo War on the weakening of Euro.Despite the challenges brought on to Euro from inharmonious economic policies in various countries within the Euro areas,unemployment,unbalance in the process of economic integration and political integration,Euro will undoubtedly promote progress of the European integration,and eventually become the major competitor of the American dollar.
