摘　　要：Critical linguistics has become the hot topic of many scholars and researchers since its appearance. As a new perspective of language study, it states that language is the practitioner of social activities. Common people communicate with language, but they have never been aware of the ideology that deeply hides in discourse. Actually, the choice of words and grammatical structures are mostly, at least partly, controlled by ideology. If people do not pay enough attention to it, ideology will easily dust the eyes of common people. This paper aims at describing the nature, criticism and improvements of critical linguistics, demonstrating its theoretical basis, and helping people raise their awareness of disclosing the true colour of ideology in daily discourse.
