The control effects of Men-myco-93-63 biological preparation on powdery mildew of cucumber and melon were tested in greenhouses and fields, respectively. The results of pot experiment demonstrated that inoculation of pathogenic bacteria after spraying 100-fold and 200-fold of biological preparations can effectively enhance the disease resistance of cucumber and reduce the incidence of disease, and the control efficacy can reach 89.9% and 77.0%, respectively; while inoculation of pathogenic bacteria before spraying 100-fold and 200-fold of biological preparations can also inhibit the extending of pathogenic bacteria at certain level, and the control efficacy can reach 80.8% and 54.5%, respectively. The field investigation results showed that the difference between control efficacy for 200-fold and 400-fold of biological preparations and control (pure water) on melon powdery mildew reached significant level; the control efficacy of 400-fold of biological preparation was higher than that of chemical agent Azoxystrobin. Therefore, the biological preparation has high extending value for controlling powdery mildew of cucurbits and melon.
