TN。In order to study the ability of bio-contact oxidization process, diluted domestic wastewater was taken as the influent to simulate urban rivers and using gravel and lava as the carrier of microorganism to design the reactors. The reactor operation mode and operating conditions was regulated to remove the organic matter COD and TN at the same time. The results showed that when the temperature was12.8-24 ℃, DO was 2.9-6.3 mg·L^-1 , the average influent COD was 80-150 mg·L^-1 , the average influent TN was 25 -55 mg .L~ and the hydraulic load was 5 -7 m^3 ·m^3 .d^-1, the average removal rates of COD was stable at 75% and the effluent COD are less than 50 mg·L^-1 , and the average removal rates of TN was increased from 40% to 70% after step-feeding, and average effluent TN were less than 15 mg·L^-1 , which can achieve the first class of Integrated Waste water Discharge standard(GB8978- 1996). It showed that the contact oxidation process can efficiently remove the organic matter and TN at the same time.
