英汉语义对应中弯曲现象实证研究

摘　　要：在对容易误解误译的英语词语形式化语义分析的基础上,对英汉语义对应中的弯曲现象进行了实证研究。提出英汉语义对应中的弯曲现象及语义模块的概念,其实人们学习外语的过程就是不断克服自然语言弯曲现象的过程。根据弯曲现象的定义,客观存在的语义在人这个系统中已经存在一种汉语映射,但又存在该语义的一种英语映射不等于汉语映射,这种现象即为英汉语义对应中的弯曲现象。语义模块指表达一个意思的模块,可以是一个单词,一个短语或者一个句子。研究结果表明,英汉语义对应时那些发生弯曲现象的英语表示恰好对应于最易误解误译的英语词语。Based on the formalized semantic analysis of the English words and expressions that are most easily misunderstood,a positive study of the refraction phenomenon in the semantic correspondence of English to Chinese is made.The concepts of semantic module and the refraction phenomenon in the semantic correspondence of English to Chinese are put forward.Seven situations of the refraction phenomenon are summed up.A comparative analysis of the extent to which the English words and expressions are easily misunderstood in each situation is made.The result shows that in the correspondence of English to Chinese the English words and expressions to which the refraction phenomenon most easily happens are those that are most easily misunderstood.
