摘　　要：奈保尔2004年出版的小说《魔种》据说是他最后一部小说,作者使用了常见的叙事方式,小说充满了象征和隐喻的写作意象,并且主人公和作者本人之间亦真亦幻的转换都不仅使得读者对主人公的命运产生同情,也深入了解了作者写作最后一部小说的意图。Magic seeds,published in 2004,is said to be the Nobel Prize winner V.S.Naipaul＇s final fiction.The fiction is woven by the common narrative techniques,flooded with images of symbolisms and metaphors,and the conversion between reality and fiction has aroused much sympathy of the protagonist from the reads as well as an insight to the author＇s intention of writing this fiction.
