CAS Technology Propels China's DeepDiving Submersible

摘　　要：The manned diving submersible Jiaolong, named after a water dragon from Chinese mythology, has held a worldwide spotlight since its triumph in a 5,188m test dive in international waters of the Pacifi c Ocean the last summer. During its voyage from July 1 to August 18, 2011, Jiaolong successfully performed five dives, among which four exceeded 5,000 meters in depth,The manned diving submersible Jiaolong, named after a water dragon from Chinese mythology, has held a worldwide spotlight since its triumph in a 5,188m test dive in international waters of the Pacific Ocean the last summer. During its voyage from July 1 to August 18, 2011, Jiaolong successfully performed five dives, among which four exceeded 5,000 meters in depth, touching a maximal depth of 5,188 meters below sea level. This implies that China now boasts the ability to send people to over 70% of this planet＇s seabed,
