摘　　要：相传很久以前小琉球的乌鬼洞有小黑人居住,曾经被人在洞口点火焚烧,死人无数。荷兰占据台湾时期,确实曾经讨伐小琉球,将全数岛民或者杀害,或者移除,使得小琉球原住民永远在历史上消失。本文说明这件灭族悲剧发生的起因、经过和结果,并分析荷兰人残酷对待小琉球岛民的主要原因在于他们没有经济和军事价值,又容易围捕歼灭的缘故。荷兰东印度公司(VOC)一切决策都是以公司的利益为考虑,即使牧师提出的基督徒人道观点也不能跟公司的利益抗衡,小琉球人的灭族悲剧就是一个最明显的例子。There was a tale about a group of little black men lived in the cave on XiaoLiuQiu（Lamey） island long time ago.According to the tale,someone set fire at the entrance of the cave and killed hundreds of the little black men.There was really a similar genocide case that occurred in the seventeenth century when the Dutch East Indian Company（VOC） killed hundreds of the Lameyans and removed the rest out of the island.This paper depicts in detail the cause,the expeditions,the results,and analyzes why VOC treated those islanders so cruelly.The paper argues that the main reason for that lies in the fact that the Lameyans,in the eyes of VOC,were of no economical and military value.Besides,humanity carried little weight in front of the company interests.
