[Objective:] To investigate the effect of moschus and borneo camphor in different proportion on blood-brain barrier(BBB) per-meability of acute cerebral ischemic model mice. Methods: The ligation of both arteria carotis communis was applied to cultivate the model of acute cerebral ischemia, and the effect of medicinals on BBB was analyzed by metering the content of Evan's Blue(EB) dis-char ged from the cerebral vessels. Results: There was no significant difference about the EB content in cerebral tissues between the sham operation group and the tween control group(P 0.05);the EB content of the model group was obviously superior to that of the sham operation group and the tween control group(P 0.05);compared with the model group, the EB content in cerebral tissues of all the other medication and ministration groups was lower, among which the groups of compatibility of moschus with borneo camphor in propotion of 1∶ 2 and 1∶ 3 got lower notably(P 0.05).Conclusion: The compatibility of moschus with borneo camphor can decrease the BBB permeability of cerebral ischemic mice, which indicates that the compatibility can regulate the BBB under a patholo gical state to work as protection.
