武汉大学图书馆利用OCA开展馆藏分析实例

摘　　要：OCA是OCLC公司提供的一项基于网络的馆藏分析服务。武汉大学图书馆利用OCA服务对馆藏人文社会科学外文图书进行了系统分析。通过基础分析,了解了自有馆藏学科、年代与语种等基础结构;通过将自有馆藏与国外高校馆藏进行比较,对馆藏质量作了整体评估;通过将自有馆藏目录与国外核心馆藏目录逐一比对,了解了自有馆藏的核心收藏与缺藏状况,获取了核心缺藏书目。该馆藏分析成果被应用到图书馆外文图书馆藏建设实践。OCA is a service provided by OCLC to analyze the collection on the basis of websites. Wuhan University Library utilizes the OCA to analyze the collection of foreign books in humanities and social sciences. The basic analysis helps to find out its own structures of disciplines, years and languages. The comparison between its own collection and the ones of foreign university libraries gives an overall evaluation of the quality of its own collection. The comparison between its own catalogues and the ones of foreign core collection helps to find out its own core collection and status of the lack of collection as well as acquire the core catalogues of the lack of collection. The achievement of the collection analysis is utilized to the establishment of the foreign books collection of the library.
