摘　　要：玉米新品种铁单20号于2003年12月通过辽宁省品种审定委员会审定(辽审玉2003175号),2006年9月通过国家品种审定委员会审定(国审玉2006015)。为了对铁单20号品种的推广及不同地区玉米育种品种及种植品种的选择提供参考,重点阐述了耐密植玉米新品种铁单20号的选育过程,品种特征特性,主要优缺点,栽培技术及适宜区域的应用情况。Tiedan 20,a new maize cultivar resistant to high close planting,was approved by Liaoning Variety Approval Commission in December,2003（Liaoshenyu 2003175） and by National Crop Variety Approval Committee in September,2006（Guoshenyu 2006015）.In this paper the breeding process,characteristics,major merits and demerits,cultivation technology and suitable planting areas were reviewed to provide references for generalization of Tiedan 20 and selection of maize cultivars for breeding and cultivation in different areas.
