论英语新复合概念表征形式创造中的经济性  

On the economy reflected in the creation of new complex concepts representation in English

摘　　要：通过对今日英语新复合概念及其表征形式的内部语义结构和新复合概念创造中反映出来的经济性作出分析,进而展示出经济性在新复合概念表征形式创造过程中的三种体现:1)结构最简,语符最少,语符承载语义信息最大化;2)词性自由转换,句法功能多元化;3)借助"S"实现旧词新用。By application of modern linguistics such as socio-Linguistics/semantics/typology and the fruits of linguistic studies,the author of this paper gives an elaborative by analysis of internal semantic structure of new complex concepts and representations and the economy reflected in creation of those new complex concept representations this paper illustrates the economy embodied in production of new complex concepts representations from three perspectives： firstly,minimal structure and least number of linguistic codes and maximalization of semantic information embodied by linguistic codes;secondly,freedom of conversion and multi-functions;thirdly,suffix-s＇ energizing and new life of old words.
