摘　　要：1.引言 NOW(Network of Workstations)系统是以商用工作站或高档微机作为处理节点,通过高速商用网或专用网络互联而构成的一种并行计算机系统,一般称之为并行机群系统。它具有可扩展性好、性能价格比高、用户投资风险小及软件资源丰富等优点。SNOW is a scalable parallel computer cluster which suports both massage passing and shared memory programming model and Homer is a high performance multiport reduced protocol used in the SNOW system. After carefully considering the requirement of the system network, the general hierarchy of Homer protocol is firstly introduced. And then a detailed description of the functionality,structure, interface and services of each layer is given.
