摘　　要：随着后现代社会的到来,公共图书馆面临着新的环境:文化服务的重构、公共领域的衰落、信息商品化的趋势,这些环境给公共图书馆的生存之基、职业使命都带来了新的思维和挑战。文章对公共图书馆职业在面对后现代社会境遇时采取的三种立场:晚期现代性、反思现代性和现代性的恶果也进行了描述。The public library today has to face the new postmodem society, which brings the reconstruction of public service, the fall of public domain and the commercialization of information. These new changes put great effect on the existence and mission of public library. This paper also describes the three stands that the public library profession takes： late modernity, reflective modernity and the consequences of modernity. 15 refs.
