摘　　要：上海城市街道命名的语言理据来自行政地名、地理实体、经济生活中的典型事例、历史人物与历史事件以及社会需求等,是近现代时期上海的自然环境信息和人文环境信息在语言中的沉淀,是语言社会生活的一部分。The linguistic motivation for naming Shanghai streets is based on Chinese administrative place names,Chinese geographical entities,typical events in the economic life,historical figures and events,and social needs.The names are the precipitation result of the natural and humanistic environment information of Shanghai＇s modern and contemporary history in the Chinese language,and also parts of linguistic social life.
