百年辛亥与百年商埠——兼谈桂商之产生及其文化性格

摘　　要：梧州是广西最早的通商口岸,是广西工商业的发源地,最早接受粤港澳的文化经济辐射,接受西方文明与民主思想的影响。同时,梧州也是广西最早响应辛亥革命、通电宣布独立的城市。该文主要论述清末民初梧州工商业形成的历史,"桂商"在梧州形成、发源的历史,梧州的工商业文化氛围对民主革命活动在梧州活跃开展的影响与联系;"百年商埠"的经济、文化、政治环境,对于辛亥革命活动在梧州开展的促进作用;论述梧州辛亥革命活动的经济文化条件,分析梧州成为两广"首义之城"的历史文化原因。以期挖掘梧州的商业文化积淀,为振兴百年商埠提供启迪与信心。Wuzhou,the first trading port and the origin place of industry and commerce of Guangxi,is the city which was first influenced by the cultures and economies from Guangdong,Hongkong and Macao and by the civilizations and democracies from the West.It is also the city which first joined in the Revolution of 1911 and declared its independence in Guangxi.The paper mainly deals with the history of how industry and commerce took shape in Wuzhou in the late Qing Dynasty,how the Guangxi merchants emerged and prospered and how the cultural atmosphere of Wuzhou＇s industry and commerce influenced the active democratic revolution movements in Wuzhou.The paper also examines the economic,cultural and political environments of this centuries-old trading port as factors facilitating the Revolution of 1911 and making Wuzhou the first uprising city in Guangdong and Guangxi,with the purpose of exploring its heritages of commercial culture and contributing to its revitalization.
