摘　　要：论述了步行性在当代美国城市发展中的重要性,指出步行城市是美国在内的多个发达国家未来城市发展的新思路;接着介绍了目前较流行的测度步行性的方法——基于日常设施配置的步行指数,包括单点步行指数和面域步行指数两个层面;然后对步行指数在经济、社会等多个领域的应用和相关研究作了梳理。最后指出步行指数可以为我国科学发展观指导下的日常设施配置合理性研究提供新思路。This paper discusses the importance of walkability in the contemporary American urban development,indicating walking city as the new urban development idea for several developed countries including America,introduced one popular method measuring walkability called Walk Score which based on amenity layout,including a single point Walk Score and an area Walk Score,made an overview of applications and research about Walk Score in the economic,social,and other flelds.Walk Score provided a new idea in amenity layout for the scientific development of our county.
