摘　　要：语用学理论对于解决翻译中语言使用的各种问题有较大的应用价值。结合昆明冶金高等专科学校标识牌和对外宣传英译的翻译实践,探讨了语境、关联理论和合作原则等语用学理论在翻译中的应用和体现。Pragmatic theory is of great value in handling problems of language use in translation.Taking Kunming Metallurgy College as an example,the paper discusses the translation of nameplates and publicity materials and explores how these pragmatic concepts as context,relative theory and cooperative principle are applied in translation practice.
