摘　　要：英语俳句虽然来自学习日语俳句的结果,但它不可能不遵循自身的语言特点。正如当代英语俳句理论除了强调日语俳句的古典原则,也大量输入现代西方美学观念。因此英语俳句既要坚守日语俳句创作的本体风范,也要与时俱进,兼收并蓄西方艺术技巧,这样才能创作出令人耳目一新的艺术作品。Although English haiku comes from Japanese haiku,it has its own stylistic features because of the idiosyncrasy of the English language.The theory of English haiku follows the classic principle of Japanese haiku and at the same time it absorbs a lot of modern western aesthetic concepts.This suggests that the writer of English haiku should adhere to the principle of Japanese haiku ontology and at the same time he should advance with the times and adopt contemporary western aesthetic techniques.
