摘　　要：雕塑艺术的载体是材料，材料是一种介质，是对精神表达的物质选择，这种选择往往表达了艺术家自我的艺术观点，不同的材料所呈现的视觉感受和生命气质是不同的，一种题材可能适合于一种材料，然而，当艺术家找到另外一种视点时，转化另外一种材料时，则会使得固有的题材呈现出新的视像，生成新的含义。广州雕塑院院长许鸿飞最近以翡翠这种传统的工艺材料来表现他的“胖女人”，创造出了“胖女人”的别样的韵致。The carrier of sculpture art is material, a medium showing material selection of spiritual expression. The selection tends to express personal viewpoints of artists, and different materials demonstrate different visual feelings and qualities of life, each subject probably suitable for a particular material. However,when artists find a new perspective and turn to another material, the originally fixed subject will turn on a new visual image and generate new implications. Xu Hongfei, Dean of Guangzhou Sculpture Institute, recently has used the traditional material--emerald to create his ＂fat woman＂ works, displaying spe- cial charm of ＂fat women＂ .
