摘　　要：Briefly looking back to the history of phrasal verbs, the researchers distinguish them in accordance with the main linguistics approaches which include traditional approaches emerged before 1980s and cognitive linguistics which exists for about 30 years. The authors discussed the research about the phrasal verbs both abroad and home, from theories to practice, respectively. At last, the authors put forward that the cognitive approach is an effective way to the acquisition of metaphorical phrasal verbs.
