摘　　要：《赫斯珀里得斯,或缪斯的花园》是约翰.埃文斯编纂的17世纪英国手稿札记书,具有文学、历史、文化等多方面的重要性,本文对这一手稿进行新的分析。通过校勘两个版本、调查物质证据,可以了解这些手稿的生产过程和编纂日期。笔者认为,福尔杰莎士比亚图书馆所藏Folger MS V.b.93既非复制品,亦非扩充版,而是《缪斯的花园》的母本,是残存版的基础;MS V.b.93的生产日期大约为1654—1666年,残存版大约为1655—1656年。论文最后讨论了出版商汉弗莱.莫塞莱的作用。This article provides a fresh analysis of Hesperides,or The Muses' Garden,a seventeenth-century manuscript English commonplace book compiled by John Evans that carries literary,historical,and cultural significance.Through a collation of the two versions and an investigation into the material evidence,much can be established about the production and dating of these manuscripts.The author proposes that Folger MS V.b.93 is not a duplicate or an enlarged version,but a master draft of Hesperides on which the fragmented version is based.MS V.b.93 was produced c.1654-66,and the fragmented version c.1655-56.The article concludes with a discussion of the role of the publisher Humphrey Moseley.
