论民生新闻与“公众新闻”——兼议民生新闻的转型方向

摘　　要：中国电视"民生新闻"与美国媒体的"公众新闻"具有某种表象的、话题式的联系,但两者兴起时面临的环境压力完全不同。社会制度层面的差异造就了这两场新闻运动运行的不同方向;公民社会资源的厚薄、社团数量的多寡,也使两者具有完全不同的组织-议程支撑。尽管民生新闻不可能成长为美国式的公众新闻,但后者的新闻理念和实践仍然给转型中的民生新闻的提档升级以巨大的启示。China＇s Livelihood TV news and US public news have some superficial and topical relation,but each is facing totally different pressure： public news is subjected to excess commercialization as well as the loss of news commonality,while livelihood news is under the pressure of insufficient commercialization,excess propaganda and the loss of news nature.Moreover,different social systems result in different trend of the two journalistic movements.Livelihood news relies on the rise of Chinese people＇s consciousness of citizenship whereas public news is based on communitarianism and advisory politics.Despite the slim chance that Chinese livelihood news grows into American-style public news,the livelihood news in transition can draw inspiration from the latter＇s journalistic ideas and practice.
