摘　　要：在语言本体的问题上,索绪尔的思想不明确,"语言"既是社会规范又是系统整体。本文认为,社会规范和系统整体是矛盾的。文章分析社会规范和系统整体的产生方式和特征,在此基础上理清二者之间的关系,探讨索绪尔的语言本体论。研究表明,作为系统整体,"语言"才是索绪尔确立的语言本体,它是索绪尔语言本体观、语言科学观和社会心理主义语言观创造的对象。Saussure’s ideas on linguistic ontology are ambiguous in that langue is taken as social conventions as well as a holistic system. The present paper proposes that Saussure’s ideas on social conventions and a holistic system are self-contradictory. The paper analyses the means by which social conventions and a holistic system are formed, and sums up the relative characteristics that social conventions and a holistic system may have; and then, it clarifies the relationship between social conventions and a holistic system, and probes deeply into Saussure’s linguistic ontology. The paper finds that langue as an Abstract holistic system is the linguistic being created by Saussure based on his viewpoint of ontology, science, and social psychology.
