This study was conducted to investigate the effects of addition of vitamin A, C and E mixture the reproduction, plasma hormone concentration and mRNA levels of genes in hypothalamus-pituitary- 5 kg/t basal diet) on gonadal axis of Zhedong White Goose. The results showed that the mixture significantly increased the egg weight and fertility rate (P〈0.05) in the first laying period, but had limited effects on the egg production, egg weight, fertility rate and hatchability rate in the second laying period; and the mixture increased the concentrations of plasma FSH ,P4, HCG and E2, and decreased the concentration of LH, and changed FSH pattern (P〈0.05) in the second laying period. The mixture also decreased GnRH, PRL and PRLR mRNA lev- els in the hypothalamus, pituitary and ovary respectively (P〈0.05),and increased ESR2 mRNA level in the ovary (P〈0.05) However, there was no significant effects on mRNA levels of PRLR in hypothalamus,PRLR, FSHfl in FSHR in ovary. Take together, vitamin A, C and E mixture could improve the reproductive performance reproductive hormone concentrations and patterns, and reducing PRL signal due to decreasing PRLR pituitary,ESR1 ,PRL and by affecting some plasma mRNA level in Zhedong
