摘　　要：马塞里努斯是最后一位杰出的拉丁语古典史家,在西方古典史学史中占有崇高地位。在古代史家中,马塞里努斯的身世和经历非常独特,他的一生可以说是4世纪晚期罗马帝国政治军事史与思想史的缩影。通过对马塞里努斯生平的重建,有助于加深对晚期罗马帝国及其历史学家的理解与把握。Ammianus Marcellinus was the last great Latin historian who held respectability in the history of western classical historiography.Ammianus' life experience was unique.His life can be considered as an epitome of the political and ideological history of the later Roman Empire in 4th century.This paper tries to reconstruct Ammianus' life,so we can have a thorough comprehension about the Later Roman Empire and its historians.
