摘　　要：特殊奥林匹克运动会不仅为智力残疾人提供了良好的体育训练与竞赛机会,而且可以激发他们拼搏的勇气、增强自信心、挖掘运动潜能,扩大与其他智残人士之间的交流与分享快乐,不断融入社会。通过对我国举办的五届特奥会举办理念、项目设置、赛事规模、社会影响和发展演变等做出详细分析,进而对特奥运动发展提出建议,以期为进一步促进我国特奥会的良性发展提供参考。Special Olympics not only can provide the disable the opportunity of sports training and matches, but may inspire their courage, chance their self - confidence, Excavation their sport Potential, expand exchanges and share happiness. This paper analyzes the holding ideas, items setting, match scale, social effect and developing trend of the fifth Special Olympics in China. It also provides some suggestion for the development of the Special Olympics.
