摘　　要：秦汉时期的西南地区主要是由巴蜀和"西南夷"两个不同的地理及文化单元所构成的。由于西南地区本身并非是一个"均质"性区域,加之秦汉王朝开发西南地区的目的、动机、手段又不尽相同,使得西南区域内部发展极不平衡,西南北部的巴蜀地区很早就被纳入华夏政治和文化体系当中,成为王朝西南地域的核心,而西南南部的云贵地区则长期处于王朝的边缘地带。这一格局自秦汉形成之后,一直延续到唐宋而鲜有变化。Southwestern China frontier mainly falls into Bashu and Xinanyi two geological and cultural areas.Because of southwestern area＇s unbalanced development in addition to the different developing aims,purposes and approaches,the northern part of Bashu region melted into Huaxia political and cultural system long time ago and became the center of southwester region,but Yunnan and Guizhou regions were in the margin position of the Dynasty for a long time.This pattern has existed till the Tang and Song dynasties since the Qin and Han Dynasties.
