The selected frequency luminescence characteristics of turbulent debris flow materials of Damo Gully and Xibei Mount Gully were studied using BG2003 luminescence spectrograph, which was compared with the debris flow materials collected in Jiangjia gully basin,Yunnan. The result indicates that the luminescence response of the debris flow samples collected from the Qingshui River basin is obvious at the wavelengths of 290 nm,310 nm,400 nm and 480 nm by thermal stimulating.Energy storage electron mainly originates from the energy levels of 4.28 eV,4.00 eV,3.50 eV and 2.58 eV.The luminescence reponse is obvious at the wavelengths of 310 nm and 480 nm by 532 nm green optical stimulation. The relevant energy storage electron mainly originates from the energy levels of 4.00 eV and 2.58 eV.The luminescence spectrogram can be used in distinguishing the debris flow from the Qingshui River Basin and Jiangjia Valley. It is significant to conduct further studies on utilizing selected frequency luminescence technology to dating debris flow materials and distinguishing the source of the materials.
