摘　　要：实现社会主义现代化是我国一个重要战略目标,而社会管理的现代化作为现代化重要的一环是不可或缺的。当前苏南地区的社会管理现代化面临着现代公民社会、信息社会、网络社会以及城乡一体化加速的挑战,因此还需要在社会管理理念、管理手段、社会组织监管、制度化的社会矛盾协调机制构建、社区自治、社会管理工作者队伍以及网络社会的监管等方面做出进一步的探索,切实提升社会管理的科学化水平。Socialist modernization is one of our country＇s key strategic goals, and modernization of social management is an indispensible component of overall social modernization. But the social management modernization in Southern Jiangsu province is faced with the challenges imposed by a modern civil society, an information society, a network society and the acceleration of urban and rural unification. Further explorations should be made in the fields of social management innovation, such as social management concepts and methods, social organization supervision, building of institutional social conflicts coordinating mechanism, community autonomy, social management working team and supervision of networks, so as to enhance the scientific level of social management.
