摘　　要：当代高校图书馆建筑总体设计和内部布局要适应社会发展的要求,实现借阅、学习、休闲、交流等功能的有机结合,还要与信息数字化、网络化的电子技术发展相适应,充分考虑长远发展需要。本文以中国人民大学图书馆新馆为例,对该馆建设背景、空间布局、功能定位、服务模式加以介绍,指出高校图书馆建筑空间布局的发展趋势,为高校图书馆建设、发展提供借鉴。To meet the demand of the social development, the overall design and internal layout of a modem univer sity library should provide a place for people to read and borrow books, study, entertain and so on. Digital and cyber technology and equipment should also be included in the library for its future development. This paper takes the new building of Renmin University of China library as an example and introduces the background, function, layout and service modes of the library. It also points out the trend Of university library construction in order to provide a refer ence for future library construction and development.
