摘 要:主要利用布拉格光纤光栅(FBG)的传感特性来实现横向应力测量,不同于通常利用反射波长解调的方法,而是利用有效FBG反射偏振相关损耗(RPDLeff)相关特性的变化来实现对横向压力的测量.根据耦合模理论,建立了RPDLeff横向压力传感的理论模型,数值模拟显示RPDLeff很适合用来制作灵敏的横向压力传感器.并在不同横向压力的情况下进行实验,发现可以通过观察RPDLeff的主峰高度和宽度变化来实现对横向压力的解调,在0到50 N有效RPDLeff主峰高度随压力的增加发生明显的变化,当大于50 N时,RPDLeff主峰宽度随压力的增加发生明显的展宽.实验和数值模拟结果一致表明,RPDLeff对横向压力的作用非常敏感,更适合实现横向压力的测量.In this paper,a new method by the polarization dependent loss(PDL) of FBG for transversal force measurements is proposed,which is different from the traditional method by peak shift of reflection spectra.A theoretical model depending coupled-mode theory is built and numerical simulation is also carried out.The results of numerical simulation suggest that the RPDLeff of FBG is more suitable for measuring transverse force in the low pressure region due to its greater sensitivity.A series of experiment on FBG under different transveral force are designed to examine how to demodulate the force by PDL.Under the force conditions of 0~50 N,the height of the peak can be used to measure the force.When the force exceed 50 N,the width of the peak obviously increase and can play a part in the demodulation.The result of numerical simulation and the experiment are agreement,which demonstrate RPDLeff is a good method to measure the transveral pressure.
